Jens McNaughton has 10 years of experience developing advertising campaigns for clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations. While he specializes in interactive branding and advertising, he has developed successful campaigns for print, television, radio and direct mail. His work has been nationally recognized by awards organizations, including the One Show, Communication Arts Interactive, How Magazine, Addy’s, San Francisco Show, and Los Angeles Beldings.

Jens began his career as a graphic designer for Macy's West Advertising. After attending the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, he took an art director position at Zoo Advertising. A year later, at Elliott/Dickens, Jens began his first online work for clients such as Hewlett-Packard and Seiko. He quickly discovered that he enjoyed the vast potential of the online environment. While at Bozell Worldwide, he continued to develop online campaigns along with print, radio and television projects for clients such as Electronic Arts and Wells Fargo.

In 1999, Jens began work at Modem Media -- an agency at the forefront of the online revolution, and which takes credit for creating the first online banner (AT&T). When he joined the San Francisco office, it was a small shop of thirty employees. Within six months, the office housed over two hundred. For the next four years, Jens pushed the boundaries of online advertising utilizing emerging technologies. His teams created the first flash interstitial, the first instant messenger chat bot used in an ad campaign, and award-winning work for clients such as Intel, HP and E*Trade.

In February 2004, Jens joined the Deutsch LA team. Projects included a site redesign for Coors Light, vehicle microsites for Mitsubishi Motors, and various projects for Real California Cheese, TGI Friday's and Pacificare.

Jens is now part of The Designory team, focusing his efforts on Nissan and Infiniti Motors. In addition to his roles within various agencies over the years, Jens has taught interactive advertising at the Academy of Art University, contributed to online advertising forums, and mentored young creatives. He now lives in Los Angeles and travels frequently to San Francisco and New York.
